For Sale: 1975 Gibson Les Paul Custom Alpine White w/ Original Chainsaw Case
Up for sale is a 1975 Gibson Les Paul Custom in its original Alpine White finish, complete with the original Gibson chainsaw hard-shell case.
Few vintage Les Paul Customs capture the look of the 1970s quite like a naturally aged white Custom. Over the past five decades, the original finish has beautifully mellowed into the coveted cream/yellow patina made famous by Randy Rhoads, giving this guitar the unmistakable appearance collectors and players chase. Combined with its original patent sticker humbuckers, ebony fingerboard, block inlays, gold hardware, and extensive natural aging, this is the kind of guitar that simply exudes vintage character.
This Les Paul has clearly been played and enjoyed over its lifetime, but that's exactly what makes it so special. It's an honest, road-tested vintage Custom with outstanding playability, incredible tone, and the kind of authentic mojo that simply can't be replicated.
The original Gibson chainsaw case is included. The case has one broken latch and expected cosmetic wear from age, but it remains fully functional and protects the guitar well.

Electronics & Features
The heart of this Les Paul Custom is its original pair of patent sticker humbuckers, which deliver everything players hope for from a great mid-'70s Gibson.
The bridge pickup offers outstanding clarity, punch, and harmonic richness, while the neck pickup produces warm, singing sustain with exceptional articulation. Together they create the thick, authoritative voice that has made vintage Les Paul Customs a favorite among rock, blues, hard rock, and classic metal players for decades.
The ebony fingerboard contributes additional snap and definition to every note, while the substantial neck profile provides the comfortable feel that many players seek in Norlin-era Gibsons.
The professionally installed TonePros ABR-1 bridge improves tuning stability and sustain while maintaining the classic appearance of the instrument. Combined with the refret and replacement nut, this guitar has become an outstanding player's vintage Les Paul without sacrificing the character that makes it so collectible.
Perhaps the most striking feature is the finish itself. Decades of natural aging have transformed the original Alpine White into the beautiful cream color that collectors affectionately associate with Randy Rhoads' legendary Les Paul Custom. Combined with the extensive lacquer checking and honest playwear, it has the unmistakable look of a true vintage Gibson.
Tone & Feel
This guitar simply sounds phenomenal.
The original patent sticker pickups are lively, dynamic, and incredibly expressive, producing rich sustain and outstanding harmonic complexity whether played clean or through a cranked amplifier.
The professional refret makes the guitar play far better than many untouched vintage Gibsons, allowing for smooth bends, effortless vibrato, and modern playability while preserving its vintage feel.
At 10 lbs 12 oz, it has the substantial weight expected from a mid-'70s Les Paul Custom, delivering exceptional sustain, punch, and authority that perfectly complements the original pickups.
This is the kind of guitar that immediately inspires you the moment you plug it in.
