Up for sale is a 2024 Fender Factory Special Run (FSR) Made in Japan Traditional II '60s Telecaster Custom in the iconic Candy Apple Red finish, complete with a non-original hard-shell case.

Built exclusively for the Japanese domestic market, this FSR Traditional II '60s Telecaster Custom combines classic mid-'60s Tele styling with Fender Japan's renowned craftsmanship and attention to detail. Featuring a double-bound basswood body, rosewood fingerboard, vintage-style single-coil pickups, and a comfortable 9.5" radius, it captures the look, feel, and tone of a vintage Telecaster while incorporating several modern refinements for today's players.

The Candy Apple Red finish is absolutely stunning, offering incredible depth and richness that beautifully complements the cream double binding and mint green pickguard. It's a timeless Fender custom color that never goes out of style and gives this Telecaster an unmistakably upscale appearance.

Electronics & Features

This Factory Special Run Traditional II '60s Telecaster Custom delivers everything players love about a vintage Tele while showcasing the outstanding quality of Fender Japan's modern production.

The pair of vintage-style Telecaster single-coil pickups provide the unmistakable Tele voice—crisp highs, punchy mids, tight low end, and exceptional clarity. Whether you're playing country, blues, rock, indie, or classic rock, they deliver articulate note definition and dynamic response that have made the Telecaster one of the most versatile electric guitars ever built.

The vintage-style three-saddle bridge with threaded steel saddles contributes to the classic Telecaster attack, snap, and sustain, while the comfortable 9.5" fingerboard radius offers improved playability over vintage-spec instruments without sacrificing traditional feel.

Visually, the double-bound body is one of the defining features of this model. Combined with the rich Candy Apple Red finish and mint green pickguard, it gives the guitar the unmistakable appearance of the legendary mid-'60s Telecaster Customs that have become some of Fender's most desirable vintage instruments.

Tone & Feel

This Telecaster feels every bit as good as it looks.

The comfortable U-shaped maple neck provides a substantial vintage-inspired feel without being overly large, while the 9.5" radius makes bending easier and reduces fretting out compared to vintage 7.25" instruments.

The lightweight 7 lb body is lively and resonant, making the guitar exceptionally comfortable for long rehearsals, studio sessions, or live performances.

Tonally, it delivers everything you'd expect from a great Telecaster—bright, articulate cleans, warm neck pickup tones, and the unmistakable bridge pickup twang that has become the benchmark for countless styles of music.
