Up for sale is a Spector Euro 4LX DW Doug Wimbish Signature 4-String Bass in Amber, complete with its original Spector gig bag.

Designed in collaboration with legendary bassist Doug Wimbish, this signature model draws inspiration from his longtime 1987 Spector NS-2. It combines the unmistakable curved NS body design with neck-through construction, a beautifully figured maple top, a slim 1.5" nut width, signature EMG P/J pickups, and active Spector electronics.

The Amber gloss finish beautifully showcases the figuring of the maple top, while the gold hardware, rosewood fingerboard, and Mother of Pearl Crown inlays give the bass the unmistakable upscale appearance of a classic Spector.

At only 8 lbs 4 oz, this is also a remarkably comfortable example.

Doug Wimbish Signature Model

Few bassists have a résumé as diverse as Doug Wimbish, whose playing has appeared across funk, rock, hip-hop, alternative, and experimental music.

His long association with Spector dates back decades, and this Euro signature model was developed around the characteristics of his classic 1987 Spector NS-2.

Rather than simply being a cosmetic signature model, the Euro 4LX DW incorporates player-focused specifications designed around Wimbish’s preferred feel and sound.

The result is a bass with classic Spector character combined with an especially fast neck and versatile P/J electronics.

Classic Neck-Through NS Construction

At the heart of the bass is Spector’s famous neck-through construction.

The 3-piece Hard Rock maple neck runs through the center of the instrument and is reinforced with graphite rods for additional stability.

The sculpted NS body shape is equally important. Its deeply curved, ergonomic design naturally conforms to the player and remains one of the most distinctive bass body shapes ever created.
