Up for sale is a 2025 Fender Japan MIJ Ishibashi FSR Traditional ’60s Telecaster Custom in Black, complete with a non-original tweed hard-shell case.

Produced as an Ishibashi FSR (Factory Special Run) for the Japanese market, this model combines classic ’60s Telecaster Custom styling with a few player-friendly updates. The gloss Black finish is framed by contrasting white binding on the front and back, while a rosewood fingerboard and traditional Telecaster appointments complete the vintage-inspired look.

With its double-bound body, 9.5" fingerboard radius, vintage-style single-coils, and excellent Fender Japan build quality, this is a sharp and distinctive take on the classic ’60s Telecaster Custom.

The rosewood fingerboard and vintage-style hardware keep the overall aesthetic rooted in the 1960s, while the 9.5" radius provides a more accommodating playing surface than a traditional vintage Fender radius.

Neck & Playability

The maple U-shaped neck measures .87" at the 1st fret and .92" at the 12th, with a measured 1.65" nut width.

Combined with the 9.5" radius rosewood fingerboard and 21 vintage-style frets, the neck retains a traditional Fender character while offering comfortable modern playability.

At 7 lbs 10 oz, the guitar has a comfortable, balanced feel in the playing position.
