For Sale: 2026 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Axcess Custom Hardtail – Peacock Widow | OHSC + COA

Up for sale is a 2026 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Axcess Custom Hardtail in the spectacular Peacock Widow finish, complete with its original Gibson Custom Shop hard-shell case and Certificate of Authenticity.

Part of Gibson Custom’s modern Axcess interpretation of the Les Paul Custom, this striking example pairs a highly figured maple top with a weight-relieved mahogany body, sculpted Axcess heel, long neck tenon, ebony fingerboard, and a traditional ABR-1/stopbar hardtail setup.

The Peacock Widow gloss nitro finish gives the figured top a dramatic blue-to-purple appearance with dark outer edges, making this one of the most visually distinctive Custom Shop Les Paul finishes.

Peacock Widow

The Peacock Widow finish is the visual centerpiece of this Custom Shop build, laid over a highly figured AAA maple top to accentuate its depth and movement.

Its vivid blue and purple hues transition into darker edges, while the Custom appointments and ebony fingerboard give the guitar an upscale appearance that remains unmistakably Les Paul.

Axcess Construction

The Axcess platform modernizes the traditional Les Paul format with a sculpted neck heel and contoured body designed to provide easier upper-fret access and a more comfortable playing experience.

This example also features a long neck tenon and weight-relieved mahogany construction, retaining the substantial feel of a Les Paul Custom while weighing a manageable 8 lbs 6 oz.

Hardtail Configuration

Rather than the Floyd Rose tremolo found on many Les Paul Axcess models, this guitar uses a traditional ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic and stopbar tailpiece.

The hardtail configuration gives the guitar a more familiar Les Paul feel while retaining the ergonomic advantages of the Axcess design.

Gibson 496R & 498T Humbuckers

A Gibson 496R neck humbucker is paired with a 498T in the bridge, providing a powerful and versatile combination with plenty of clarity, output, and definition.

Push-pull tone controls expand the available sounds beyond the traditional Les Paul Custom control layout, making the Axcess equally capable of covering classic Gibson territory and more modern applications.

Ebony Fingerboard & Playability

The ebony fingerboard, medium-jumbo frets, and streamlined neck carve complement the performance-oriented Axcess design.

With a measured nut width of 1.70" and a neck that progresses from .87" at the 1st fret to .98" at the 12th, this example has a comfortable profile with enough substance to retain a distinctly Gibson feel.
