Up for sale is a beautiful 2010 Gibson Custom Shop Historic ’68 Les Paul Custom Reissue in Ebony, complete with its original Gibson Custom Shop hard-shell case and Certificate of Authenticity.

This Historic Reissue recreates the legendary 1968 Black Beauty with a carved maple top, mahogany body, long neck tenon, chunky ’50s neck profile, and ebony fingerboard. Its original Gibson ’57 Classic humbuckers deliver rich, vintage-inspired PAF tones, while the VOS nitrocellulose finish and lightly aged chrome hardware complete the classic appearance.

This guitar is 100% original with no modifications, making it an excellent example of Gibson Custom Shop's vintage-inspired craftsmanship.

The 1968 Les Paul Custom marked the return of the single-cutaway Black Beauty after several years out of production.

Unlike the earlier all-mahogany design, the revived Les Paul Custom featured a carved maple top over a mahogany body, establishing the construction that would become closely associated with later Les Paul Customs.
