Up for sale is a 2009 Gibson Custom Shop Angus Young "Thunderstruck" SG VOS in Aged Cherry, complete with its original Gibson Custom Shop hard-shell case and Certificate of Authenticity.

Built as a tribute to Angus Young's legendary 1968 SG Standard, this highly collectible Custom Shop model was produced in an extremely limited run of only 200 VOS guitars worldwide. Designed to faithfully capture the look, feel, and tone of Angus' famous stage guitar, it features a lightweight mahogany body, a three-piece quartersawn maple neck, lightning bolt inlays, Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbuckers, and the unique stripped-down electronics that mirror Angus' personal instrument.

At just 7 lbs 2 oz, it's incredibly lightweight, resonant, and built to deliver the explosive rock tone that helped define one of the greatest guitar sounds of all time.

Condition

Very Good – 8.5/10

• Light surface scratches
• Small dings from normal use
• Minor tarnish to the gold hardware
• Clear coat finish checking running vertically down the back of the neck

The finish checking is confined entirely to the clear coat and cannot be felt while playing. It is also very subtle—you can only really see it when shining a light on the neck at the right angle. It does not extend into the wood and has no impact on the guitar's playability or structural integrity.

The guitar is 100% original with no cracks, breaks, repairs, or structural issues.

The neck is straight, the original frets are in excellent condition with virtually no wear, and the guitar has been professionally set up by our in-house luthier. It plays cleanly up and down the neck with low action, excellent intonation, and no buzzing or dead spots.
