For Sale: 2006 Warwick Streamer $$ 5-String – Natural Transparent Satin w/ HSC
Up for sale is a 2006 Warwick Streamer $$ 5-String in beautiful Natural Transparent Satin, complete with a non-original hard-shell case.
The Streamer version of the $$ (Double Buck) is a relatively uncommon Warwick configuration, as the vast majority of $$ basses encountered on the used market are from the Corvette series. This German-built Streamer combines Warwick's iconic sculpted body shape with a pair of massive MEC humbuckers, active electronics, a wenge fingerboard, and the unmistakable growl, punch, and definition that made German Warwick basses so popular.
With its natural finish highlighting the grain of the body and the aggressive dual-humbucker electronics, this is a serious player's bass with a ton of tonal versatility.

The Rare Streamer $$
One of the coolest things about this bass is simply that it's a Streamer $$.
Warwick's Double Buck configuration is much more commonly associated with the Corvette $$, making the Streamer version a significantly less common sight.
The Streamer body is one of Warwick's most recognizable designs, with its sculpted, ergonomic contours providing a comfortable playing position and distinctive appearance. Pairing that body with the powerful $$ electronics creates an especially interesting combination.
It's unmistakably Warwick, but it's not the Warwick $$ you see every day.
MEC Double Buck Electronics
The pair of original MEC humbuckers is where the $$ gets its name and a huge part of what gives this bass its personality.
These large dual-coil pickups provide a powerful, full-range sound with huge low end, aggressive mids, and excellent definition.
Combined with the active MEC electronics, the bass can cover an impressive amount of tonal ground. It can deliver deep, clean lows and articulate fingerstyle tones or become much more aggressive when you want the characteristic Warwick growl to cut through a dense mix.
The 5-string configuration adds a powerful low B while maintaining excellent clarity and definition across the entire instrument.
Whether you're playing rock, metal, funk, progressive music, fusion, or anything that calls for a powerful and articulate bass tone, the Streamer $$ has plenty to work with.
Tone & Feel
This bass has the distinctive response players associate with German-built Warwicks.
The combination of the swamp ash body, laminated maple neck, wenge fingerboard, and MEC electronics gives it a tight, immediate attack with strong note definition and plenty of midrange character.
The neck measures .87" at the 1st fret and 1.00" at the 12th fret, gradually becoming more substantial as you move up the fingerboard.
The 34" scale provides familiar long-scale tension without requiring the extended reach of a 35" 5-string.
At 9 lbs 10 oz, the bass feels substantial and solid while the sculpted Streamer body helps keep it comfortable and well balanced.
Most importantly, despite its cosmetic wear and disclosed body repair, this bass plays and sounds great.
Hard-Shell Case Included
This bass comes with a non-original hard-shell case.
The hard case provides significantly better protection than a gig bag for storage and transportation and, importantly, allows us to ship the bass with substantially more protection around the instrument.
