Up for sale is a 2005 Gibson Custom Shop '57 Les Paul Custom Reissue in the beautiful and uncommon Faded Cherry finish, complete with its original Gibson Custom Shop hard-shell case, Certificate of Authenticity, and original strap buttons.

This is an exceptional Historic Collection Les Paul Custom that faithfully recreates the legendary 1957 Black Beauty platform while adding the striking transparency of Gibson's Faded Cherry finish. Unlike a standard Les Paul, the '57 Custom features a solid mahogany top instead of maple, giving it a warmer, darker, and more mid-focused voice with incredible sustain and resonance.

Built with a one-piece mahogany body, long neck tenon construction, ebony fingerboard, historic hardware, and a pair of Gibson BurstBucker 1 & 2 humbuckers, this is everything players love about Gibson's Historic Reissue program.

Condition

Excellent – 9/10

• Light surface scratches
• A few dings on the back of the body
• Small ding on the back of the headstock near the G tuner
• Minor red dye bleed along portions of the binding

The dye bleed is very common on Historic Gibson Custom Shop guitars finished in transparent red colors. It is completely beneath the clear coat, cannot be felt whatsoever, and is purely cosmetic.

This guitar is 100% original with no cracks, breaks, repairs, or modifications of any kind.

The neck is straight, the original frets are in excellent condition with minimal wear, and the guitar has been professionally set up by our in-house luthier. It plays effortlessly up and down the neck with low action, excellent intonation, and no buzzing or dead spots.
