Up for sale is a 1994 Fender Japan MIJ TL62B-TX ’62 Reissue Telecaster Custom in Black, complete with a tweed hard-shell case.

The TL62B-TX is a desirable Fender Japan take on the early-’60s Telecaster Custom, pairing a double-bound alder body and rosewood fingerboard with factory-installed USA Fender Texas Special Telecaster pickups. The result combines classic vintage-inspired Tele styling with a hotter, more assertive pickup set.

Finished in Black with contrasting body binding and traditional Telecaster appointments, this is a sharp-looking, 100% original example from Fender Japan’s Made in Japan era.

This guitar shows honest cosmetic wear from normal use, including:

The double-bound alder body gives this model the elegant appearance associated with the early-’60s Telecaster Custom.

The contrasting binding beautifully frames the Black finish, while the rosewood fingerboard, vintage-style 3-saddle bridge, and traditional control layout complete the vintage-inspired aesthetic.

Neck & Playability

The maple neck features a comfortable “C” profile, measuring .86" at the 1st fret and .97" at the 12th, with a measured 1.65" nut width.

Its 7.25" radius rosewood fingerboard and 21 vintage-style frets provide the traditional feel associated with early-’60s Fender designs.
