Up for sale is a 1993 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty in Ebony, complete with its original Gibson hard-shell case.

Few guitars have the unmistakable presence of a black Les Paul Custom. The Ebony finish, multi-ply binding, ebony fingerboard, pearl block inlays, gold hardware, and split-diamond headstock inlay create one of Gibson’s most iconic designs.

This example has been modified with dual active EMG 85 humbuckers, along with the appropriate replacement electronics and a replacement nut. At 10 lbs 6 oz, it has the substantial feel associated with a traditional Les Paul Custom.

Condition

Very Good – 8.5/10

This guitar shows light surface scratches and dings from normal use.

There are no cracks, breaks, repairs, or structural issues.

The neck is straight and stable, and the frets remain in excellent condition. It has been professionally inspected and set up by our in-house luthier and plays cleanly across the fingerboard with comfortable action and no buzzing or dead spots.

The conversion is fully disclosed, and the original pickups and pots are not included.

Early-’90s Les Paul Custom Feel

The mahogany body, carved maple top, mahogany neck, and ebony fingerboard provide the substantial construction expected from a Les Paul Custom.

The neck measures .81" at the 1st fret and .96" at the 12th, giving it a medium-rounded profile that starts relatively slim and gradually fills out as you move up the neck.

At 10 lbs 6 oz, this is a substantial Les Paul Custom with a solid, authoritative feel.
