Vintage Jaguar Tone & Feel
There is something special about playing a real early-’60s Jaguar that is difficult to duplicate with a modern reissue.
The short 24" scale, vintage 7.25" radius, and original Fender Jaguar pickups give this guitar the distinctive response that made the model famous. It has the bright attack, clarity, chime, and slightly percussive character associated with a great vintage Jaguar, along with the unique tonal flexibility of Fender's original Jaguar electronics.
The Brazilian rosewood fingerboard is another important period-correct feature and contributes to the unmistakable appearance and feel of an original early-’60s Fender.
The neck measures .82" at the first fret and gradually fills out to 1.00" at the 12th, giving it a comfortable vintage feel that becomes more substantial as you move up the fingerboard.
At only 7 lbs 6 oz, this is also a wonderfully comfortable vintage Jaguar with excellent balance.
Authenticity & Inspection
With a vintage Fender of this age and value, we believe transparency is extremely important.
This guitar has been carefully disassembled and internally inspected to verify its authenticity and components.
The neck is dated to 1964 with the B-width designation, and the potentiometers also date to 1964. The pickups, hardware, electronics, finish, frets, and other major components are original, aside from the previously disclosed replacement top pickup on/off switch and the pickup wires running to that switch.
After inspection, the guitar was professionally reassembled and set up.
We have made every effort to accurately represent exactly what this guitar is and what has been replaced.
Original Hard-Shell Case & Accessories
The original Fender hard-shell case is included.
As you would expect from a case that has been protecting a guitar for more than six decades, it shows some cosmetic wear from age and use, but it remains functional and does its job well.
Also included are the:
- Bridge cover
- Jaguar mute
These are great pieces to have with such an original vintage example.
