Vintage Fujigen Craftsmanship

Fender Japan's 1980s instruments have developed a strong following among players and collectors for their excellent craftsmanship, traditional specifications, and attention to detail.

Produced during the celebrated E-series era, this ST62-55 was built at the Fujigen factory, which played an important role in establishing Fender Japan's reputation for quality.

The combination of a maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, vintage-style frets, and 7.25" radius delivers the traditional feel associated with early-'60s Stratocasters.

The comfortable medium C-shaped neck, measuring .82" at the first fret and .89" at the twelfth, offers a familiar vintage-inspired playing experience without feeling overly bulky.

Rare Rebel Yellow Finish

One of the standout features of this guitar is its distinctive Rebel Yellow (RYL) finish.

Far less commonly encountered than traditional Sunburst, Black, or Olympic White examples, Rebel Yellow gives this vintage Japanese Stratocaster a unique appearance while retaining the classic styling of the 1962 reissue.

Combined with the rosewood fingerboard, vintage-style hardware, and traditional Stratocaster body contours, this is a particularly attractive example of an early Fender Japan reissue.

Classic Stratocaster Tone

The ST62-55's vintage-style single-coil pickup configuration offers the familiar clarity, sparkle, and articulation that define the classic Stratocaster sound.

From bright, expressive bridge tones to warm neck-pickup sounds and the unmistakable in-between positions, this guitar is well suited for blues, classic rock, surf, funk, and countless other styles.

The vintage-style synchronized tremolo completes the traditional Stratocaster design.
