For sale is a 1982 Yamaha SG-1000 in a rare factory Black finish, complete with a non-original gig bag. Built during the golden era of Yamaha’s high-end SG production, this Japanese-made SG-1000 delivers exceptional craftsmanship, killer tone, and undeniable vintage character.

Condition

This guitar is in very good, player-grade condition (7.5/10). It shows signs of honest playwear:

  • Scratches, dings, and finish checking throughout

  • Wear on the back and some cloudiness in the clear coat

Despite the cosmetic wear, the guitar is structurally sound with no cracks or repairs.

  • The nut has been replaced, but all other components are original

  • Neck is straight and stable

  • Original frets are in excellent shape with no wear
