For Sale: 2024 Gibson Firebird Platypus – Ebony w/ OHSC

Up for sale is a 2024 Gibson Firebird Platypus in Ebony, complete with its original hard-shell case.

This is a very cool modern Gibson reissue that pays tribute to one of the more unusual transitional Firebird designs from 1965. The Firebird Platypus blends classic Firebird attitude with a slightly different visual identity thanks to the flat “Platypus” headstock design, while still delivering the unmistakable chime, bite, and presence that make Firebirds so appealing. Finished in Ebony, this one has a sleek, aggressive look and a very clean overall presentation.

Condition

This guitar is in excellent condition and I would rate it a solid 9/10. It shows light scratches and a few dings from normal use. Please review all photos carefully for the most accurate representation of condition.

There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs. The neck is straight and stable, the original frets are in excellent shape with minimal wear, and the guitar plays cleanly up and down the neck with no buzzing or dead spots. It has also been recently professionally set up and is ready to go.

The original Gibson hard-shell case is included.
