The Legendary SJ-200

The SJ-200 has long occupied a special place at the top of Gibson’s acoustic lineup, with its oversized Super Jumbo body, elaborate appointments, and unmistakable silhouette.

The solid Sitka spruce top is paired with figured maple back and sides, giving this guitar the projection and presence associated with the SJ-200 while maintaining excellent clarity and definition.

The Vintage Sunburst finish, graduated crown inlays, multi-ply binding, and ornate mustache bridge complete the classic Gibson aesthetic.

Maple Construction & Comfortable Neck

The 2-piece maple neck and rosewood fingerboard complement the maple-bodied construction while providing a smooth and familiar playing feel.

This particular neck measures a relatively comfortable .82" at the 1st fret and .90" at the 9th fret, giving it a manageable profile for such a substantial acoustic guitar.

The 25.5" scale provides a firm, responsive feel and helps give the large Super Jumbo body plenty of projection.

Fishman Ellipse Aura Electronics

This SJ-200 is equipped with a Fishman Ellipse Aura pickup system, providing a practical amplified option without taking away from the guitar’s traditional acoustic character.

For players who intend to perform with an SJ-200 rather than simply keep one at home or in a collection, the onboard Fishman system makes this example especially stage-friendly.

Vintage Sunburst

The Vintage Sunburst nitrocellulose finish is one of the quintessential looks for an SJ-200, highlighting the sweeping lines and ornate appointments of Gibson’s Super Jumbo body.

Combined with the figured maple back and sides, pearl crown inlays, decorative bridge, and multi-ply binding, it gives this guitar the unmistakable visual presence that has defined the SJ-200 for generations.
