For Sale: 2022 Fender Ken Stratocaster Experiment #1 MIJ w/ HSC

Up for sale is a 2022 Fender Ken Stratocaster Experiment #1, a rare and very unique Made in Japan signature model built for Ken of L’Arc-en-Ciel. This guitar is in excellent condition, is 100% original, and works exactly as it should. The only notable cosmetic issue is a small amount of tarnish to the gold hardware. It comes complete with a non-original tweed hard-shell case.

Ken’s “Experiment #1” Stratocaster takes its inspiration from the beauty of Japanese kintsugi pottery, and Fender did a great job carrying that concept into the design. Finished in Original White with gold hardware and Gold Sparkle accents in the arm contour and body cavities, this is an especially eye-catching Strat. Other unique appointments include a transparent pickguard and rear cavity cover, body-mounted pickups, and a Neck/Bridge Blend control in place of the traditional second tone knob.

This guitar features an alder body, maple neck, and maple fingerboard, along with a factory-installed set of premium components throughout.

Condition & Playability

This guitar is in excellent condition and has clearly been very well cared for. Aside from the light tarnish on some of the gold hardware, it shows only minimal signs of handling. The satin finish on the neck is clean and smooth, and the body presents very nicely overall.

The frets show zero wear, the neck is straight, and the guitar plays effortlessly with low action and excellent intonation. It has been professionally set up with 10-46 strings and is ready to go.
