Semi-Hollow Ash Body

The semi-hollow ash body is one of the defining features of this Ishibashi FSR model. The visible grain of the ash works particularly well with the transparent Natural finish, while the black body binding and red tortoise-shell pickguard give the guitar a distinctive appearance.

The Thinline construction also helps keep this example down to an excellent 6 lbs 12 oz, making it especially comfortable for longer playing sessions.

Ishibashi FSR

This model was produced as an FSR for Ishibashi Music, giving it a specification package that stands apart from Fender Japan’s regular-production Traditional II models.

The combination of a semi-hollow ash body, Natural finish, contrasting binding, maple fingerboard, and vintage-inspired appointments makes this a particularly attractive Japanese-market Telecaster Thinline.

Upgraded Hard-Shell Case

A major advantage of this example is the included hard-shell case.

Rather than the lighter protection of a typical gig bag, the hard-shell case provides substantially better protection for storage, transportation, and shipping. It is a meaningful upgrade for a guitar like this and gives the complete package a more premium presentation.

For buyers comparing similar Japanese-market Thinlines that are offered with soft bags, the included hard-shell case is a valuable addition that helps set this example apart.
