Up for sale is a 2013 Gibson ES-335 Bass in Ebony, complete with its original hard-shell case and certificate of authenticity.

Built by Gibson Memphis, the ES-335 Bass takes the legendary semi-hollow ES platform and adapts it into a full 34" long-scale bass. With its laminated maple construction, maple center block, bound rosewood fingerboard, and dual Gibson bass humbuckers, it combines the look and resonance of an ES-style instrument with the familiar feel and definition of a long-scale bass.

Finished in classic Ebony with dual F-holes and traditional ES appointments, this is a distinctive Gibson bass that was produced in relatively limited numbers.

Semi-Hollow ES Construction

The ES-335 Bass uses the familiar double-cutaway semi-hollow architecture of Gibson’s ES family, complete with dual F-holes and a maple center block.

The center-block construction adds solidity and sustain while helping control feedback compared with a fully hollow bass, making the design well suited to a wide variety of playing situations.

34" Long Scale & Rosewood Fingerboard

Unlike many of Gibson’s classic short-scale bass designs, the ES-335 Bass uses a full 34" scale length.

The neck measures .87" at the 1st fret and .99" at the 12th, with a measured 1.64" nut width. Its rounded profile and bound rosewood fingerboard provide a substantial but comfortable playing feel.

Dual Gibson Bass Humbuckers

A pair of Gibson bass humbuckers is controlled by individual volume and tone controls with a traditional 3-way toggle selector.

The semi-hollow construction and dual-humbucker layout give the ES-335 Bass a broad tonal range, from warm and rounded neck-pickup sounds to more focused and articulate bridge tones.
