Up for sale is a 1997 Gibson Les Paul Special Les Paul Jr. II in Tobacco Sunburst, complete with its original hard-shell case.

This is a rare and very cool late-’90s Gibson model that was originally released for the Japanese market. It blends Les Paul Special and Les Paul Junior-inspired styling with a sleek, stripped-down feel, while still offering the performance and build quality you’d expect from Gibson during this era. Finished in Tobacco Sunburst, this one has a classic look and a great overall feel in hand.

Condition

This guitar is in very good condition and I would rate it a solid 8/10. It shows light scratches and small dings throughout from normal use. Please review all photos carefully for the most accurate representation of condition.

The guitar appears to remain all original with the exception of the replaced 3-way switch. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs. The neck is straight, the original frets are in excellent condition with minimal wear, and the guitar plays cleanly up and down the neck with no buzzing or dead spots. It has also been recently professionally set up and is ready to go.

The original hard-shell case is included. It shows some wear but functions properly.
