For sale is a 2006 Gibson Custom Shop John Sykes Les Paul Custom Aged Electric Guitar with the original case and certificate of authenticity. The John Sykes Les Paul Custom Aged re-creates Sykes number one instrument--a 1978 Les Paul Custom--and includes the modifications John has made to his instrument over his years of playing with Tygers of Pan Tang, Whitesnake, and Thin Lizzy. This Limited Edition version of just 66 Aged models duplicates the wear and aging that John's guitar has undergone over the years. Handcrafted for comfort and playability in the Gibson Custom Shop. The construction, neck profile, hardware, and electronics are period accurate, except for Sykes' modifications, and a special aged nitrocellulose finish treatment gives it the patina of a gently aged vintage guitar.

This guitar is excellent condition, and in perfect working order. It's a relic! Overall, I would rate the condition a solid 9.5 out of 10. Everything on the guitar is original. There are no cracks, repairs, or issues. The neck is straight with no issues and plays great. The original frets are in excellent condition with no wear. The back electronics cover is signed by Thom York and Ed Wilson of the Gibson Custom Shop. The original case works great.
