Up for sale is a 2003 Gibson Thunderbird IV in Classic White, complete with a non-original Gibson hard-shell case.

Few basses have the unmistakable presence of a Gibson Thunderbird, and this early-2000s example is especially striking in Classic White with an ebony fingerboard and black appointments.

Featuring Gibson's classic neck-through construction, dual Thunderbird humbuckers, and a comfortable thin neck profile, this bass delivers the powerful tone and distinctive feel that have made the Thunderbird a rock & roll icon for decades.

This is a well-played example with plenty of genuine character, retaining its original components aside from added shielding in the electronics cavity.

Condition

Very Good – 8/10

This bass has been played and shows honest cosmetic wear consistent with its age, including:

• Scratches and dings throughout

• Finish wear in various areas

• Finish checking

• Wear on the back

• General cosmetic wear from normal use

There is also an additional strap-button hole on the back of the bass, which is partially covered by the existing strap button. This is cosmetic and does not affect playability.

Shielding has been added to the electronics cavity. Other than this addition, all components remain original, including the pickups, electronics, hardware, and frets.

There are no cracks, breaks, repairs, or structural issues.

The neck is straight and stable, and the original frets are in excellent condition with virtually no wear.

The bass has been professionally inspected and set up by our in-house luthier and plays beautifully, with comfortable action and smooth, clean playability across the entire neck with no buzzing or dead spots.
