Presenting a very rare 1986 Ken Smith BT4 4-String Bass Guitar, accompanied by a non-original hard-shell case. This bass was crafted during what many consider the golden age of Ken Smith, following his split with Vinny Fodera. These early Smith basses are highly sought after and extremely hard to find, making this offering a true gem from my personal collection.

The neck on this bass feels incredible, reminiscent of an old Fender bass but with the unmistakable quality of a Ken Smith instrument. While this bass has been lovingly played and shows some signs of wear—including scratches, dings, and wear on the back—it remains in good condition, delivering impeccable performance. Additionally, there are some spots on the front where wear has been touched up with clear, and 2 extra strap button holes that have been expertly filled in. Overall, I confidently rate its condition at a solid 7.5 out of 10.

With the exception of the newer gold Ken Smith tuners, every component of the bass guitar is original, with no cracks, repairs, or notable issues to report. The neck is perfectly straight, and the original frets are in superb condition, showing no signs of wear. Thanks to a recent thorough setup, there's no troublesome buzzing or dead spots.

The non-original hard-shell case shows some wear but is in good condition, providing reliable protection for this exceptional instrument. Detailed photos have been thoughtfully provided to offer you a comprehensive view of the bass guitar's wear. Your interest is greatly appreciated. Thank you for considering this exceptional piece.
