For sale is a 1980 Gibson Flying V2 in a super rare Pearl White with a non-original Gibson V case. Approximately 300 V2's were made from 79-81. This guitar was the first guitar made on Jan 2, 1979. I think it's very possible this could be the first one ever made. This guitar is in excellent condition, and in perfect working order. There are some light scratches and a couple of small dings. Overall, I would rate the condition a solid 9 out of 10. Everything on the guitar is original. The neck is straight with no issues. The original frets are in excellent condition with no wear. There is no buzzing or dead spots. The case has a little wear but works great.
