For sale is a 1978 Rickenbacker 4001 in White with the original case. This bass has been played but works great. There are some scratches, dings, wear on the back, and 3 small screw holes on the top by the bridge. Overall, I would rate the condition a solid 8 out of 10. The E tuner has been swapped out for a Hipshot drop tuner. The bass has also had a re-fret. The clear coat was removed from the finger-board to do this. Everything else on the bass is original. There are no cracks or issues. There is a little bit of slight buzzing on some of the high frets, but the bass otherwise plays great. The non-original frets are in excellent condition with no wear. The original case has some wear but works great.
