In the video, we showcase a 1978 Gibson L6-S in the distinctive Natural finish, featuring the sought-after block inlays—a relatively uncommon feature for this model. This guitar is in good condition and operates flawlessly.
Upon close examination, you'll notice signs of regular use, including scratches, finish checking around the input jack, as well as dings and wear on the back. Overall, I would assess its condition as a commendable 7.5 out of 10. While several components have been replaced, such as the tuners, pick-guard, pickups, knobs, and the rotary switch, everything else on the guitar remains original. There are no indications of cracks, repairs, or underlying issues. The neck maintains a straight profile, ensuring excellent playability. The original frets are in superb condition, displaying no discernible wear. The guitar delivers an outstanding performance, devoid of any buzzing or dead spots.
The guitar features a modification where the rotary switch has been replaced with a 3-way switch, offering a more practical functionality preferred by many players. While the original case shows signs of wear, it still reliably serves its protective role.
