For sale is a 1961 Gibson Les Paul Sg Custom in White with the original hardshell case. This guitar has lots of play-wear but is in good condition and plays great. There are scratches, dings, wear to the gold hard-wear, lots of finish checking, cracks by the input jack and neck joint, shrinkage and cracks on the binding(the fingerboard-board was plained at some time), pick-guard is warped, and the front of the body has had an overspray and some finish work as at one point this guitar was converted to a stop tail. Overall, I would rate the condition a solid 7 out of 10. Although it has a bit of wear, the guitar plays solid and the neck feels great. The guitar has been re-fretted, has new inlays, replaced tuners(extra holes are present), replaced the nut, x2 replaced knobs, replaced pots, replaced caps, and replaced pickups. The neck and middle pickups are old Patent Sticker T-Tops and the middle pickup is a newer Gibson 496R. The pickups sound amazing on these and even some of the older '62 Sg customs would have come with Patent Sticker T-Tops as they sound very similar to the original PAF's. Everything else on the guitar is original. The neck is straight with no issues and plays great. The non-original frets are in excellent condition with no wear. The original case works has a lot of wear but works great with no issues.
