For sale is a 2006 Gibson Custom Shop Historic Les Paul Custom '57 Reissue Black Beauty with the original hard-shell case. This model is a historic '57 Reissue, distinguished by its mahogany top instead of maple, resulting in a darker, richer tone.

This guitar has been played but is in good condition and perfect working order. There are visible scratches, dings, some wear on the back of the neck, and additional wear on the back. The wear contributes to a vintage aesthetic, and overall, I would rate its condition a solid 7.5 out of 10. Several modifications have been made to the guitar. The pickups have been upgraded to Gibson 498T and 490R hum-buckers, known for their excellent sound and standard on many Les Paul Customs from this era. The Grover locking tuners are a replacement, offering stability similar to the original tuners. The Tone Pro ABR-1 bridge is a quality replacement, and orange drop capacitors have been installed for an upgraded tone. Unfortunately, the original replaced parts are not available. There are no cracks, repairs, or issues with the guitar. The neck is straight with no problems, and the original frets are in very good condition with only minor wear. A recent setup ensures optimal playability.

For those seeking a historic Les Paul without breaking the bank, this guitar presents an excellent opportunity. The original hard-shell case is in very good condition and functions perfectly.
