Up for sale is a 1997 Fender CIJ Japan ’62 Reissue Telecaster Custom TL62B-TX in Candy Apple Red, complete with a non-original tweed hard-shell case.

This is a very cool Fender Japan model featuring factory-installed USA Texas Special pickups, making it a standout from standard TL62 reissues. With its double-bound body, custom color finish, and upgraded electronics, it delivers classic Telecaster style with added punch and character. Fender Japan craftsmanship is on full display here, with excellent fit, finish, and overall build quality.

Condition

This guitar is in very good condition (8/10).

It shows light scratches, dings, and some wear on the back from normal use. Please review all photos carefully for the most accurate representation of condition.

The guitar is 100% original, including the factory-installed USA Texas Special pickups. There are no cracks, breaks, or structural issues. The neck is straight, the frets are in excellent condition with no noticeable wear, and the guitar plays cleanly up and down the neck with no buzzing or dead spots. It has also been recently professionally set up and is ready to go.

A non-original tweed hard-shell case is included.
