This unique Gibson Limited Edition Les Paul Music Rising guitar was created in partnership with U2’s The Edge to support the musicians impacted by the devastation of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Designed exclusively for the Music Rising program in 2005, the guitar was sold through Guitar Center, with all proceeds benefiting the cause.

About the Music Rising Les Paul

  • Only 300 guitars produced, each hand-painted and unique.
  • The guitar’s design reflects the vibrant musical traditions of the Gulf Coast, with Mardi Gras-inspired colors and hand-painted artistry.
  • The plastic components (backplate, pickguard, toggle cover, and truss rod cover) were replaced with wood sourced from Gulf Coast states affected by the hurricanes.
  • Features the Music Rising logo, etched into the pickguard as a tribute to the region’s enduring spirit.
