Presenting a very rare 1990 Ken Smith BT5 5-String Bass Guitar with Walnut top and back, accompanied by it's original original hard-shell case. This bass was crafted during what many consider the golden age of Ken Smith, following his split with Vinny Fodera. This bass also has the highly sought after 3 knob 9v pre-amp. These early Smith basses are highly sought after and extremely hard to find, making this offering a true gem from my personal collection.

The neck on this bass feels incredible, very thin and the easiest 5-string I have ever played. While this bass has been lovingly played and shows some signs of wear—including scratches, dings, and some wear on the top below the neck pickup—it remains in very good condition, delivering impeccable performance. Overall, I confidently rate its condition at a solid 8 out of 10.

Every component of the bass guitar is original, with no cracks, repairs, or notable issues to report. The neck is perfectly straight, and the original frets are in superb condition, showing no signs of wear. Thanks to a recent thorough setup, there's no troublesome buzzing or dead spots.

The original hard-shell case shows some wear but is in good condition, providing reliable protection for this exceptional instrument. Detailed photos have been thoughtfully provided to offer you a comprehensive view of the bass guitar's wear. Your interest is greatly appreciated. Thank you for considering this exceptional piece.
