Up for sale is a 1986 Fender Pro Feel Series Stratocaster model STR-850LS in very good condition, finished in Sienna Sunburst. Part of the short-lived, upper-tier Pro-Feel series, this rare “Made in Japan” model was produced at the Fujigen factory and designed exclusively for the Japanese domestic market. It features an ash body, maple neck, slab 22-fret rosewood fretboard, and a trio of USA-made Lace Sensor pickups.

The Lace Sensor pickups offer a silky smooth and snappy range of sounds. The Lace Sensor Silvers in the neck and middle positions provide a fat '70s-style single coil response with increased output and midrange. The Lace Blue at the bridge is reminiscent of a '50s humbucker, delivering dynamic tones with ample warmth and kick in a single coil configuration. The unique radiant Field Barrier system surrounding both the coil and magnets reduces 60-cycle hum. The patented Lace Micro Combs replace traditional bobbins, offering a wider tonal range and better string-to-string balance than traditional pickups. Additionally, the active MDX mid-boost circuit enables notable thickening of the sound when dialed up, providing fullness not typically afforded by most single coil pickups.

This guitar has been played but remains in very good condition and is in perfect working order. There are some light scratches, dings, and finish checking at the neck joint. Overall, I would rate the condition a solid 8 out of 10.

Everything on the guitar is original, with no cracks, repairs, or issues. The neck is straight and free of any problems. The original frets are in excellent condition with no wear, ensuring smooth playability with no buzzing or dead spots.
