Up for sale is a 1983 Fender Jazzmaster ‘62 vintage reissue (JM66-70) in Candy Apple Red with a matching headstock, in 100% original condition and perfect working order.

This extremely rare model was produced in only the second year of Fender Japan's existence and was made exclusively for the Japanese domestic market as part of the coveted "Japanese Vintage" (JV) line, which ran from 1982-84. Crafted before the Jazzmaster was officially cataloged by Fender Japan in 1986, this is one of the earliest Fender Japan examples we’ve ever had at Guitar Chimp.

• Built with an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, this Jazzmaster delivers classic single-coil clarity with plenty of sparkle and punch.
