For Sale: 1991 Fender Japan “Order Made” Jazz Bass ’62 Vintage Reissue JB62-65 – Walnut MIJ w/ HSC

Up for sale is a 1991 Fender Japan “Order Made” Jazz Bass ’62 Vintage Reissue JB62-65, complete with a non-original hard-shell case.

Crafted at the highly regarded Fujigen factory during Fender Japan’s golden era, this is a rare Made in Japan “Order Made” model. These were special-order instruments that offered features and finish options outside of the standard catalog, and this example is a particularly cool one with its satin Walnut nitro lacquer finish, ash body, and gold hardware.

This bass has clearly been played over the years, but it remains a very solid, great-playing example with a lot of character.

Condition

This bass is in very good condition overall and I would rate it a 7.5/10. It shows scratches, dings throughout, wear on the back of the bass, and some wear to the pickguard. It also appears that a thumb rest was added at some point, and you can see evidence of that along with related wear on the pickguard. Please review all photos carefully for the most accurate representation of condition.

The bass has been professionally set up here at Guitar Chimp and plays great with low, comfortable action and precise intonation.
