For Sale: 1991 Fender Japan Order Made PB62 ’62 Reissue Precision Bass – Walnut | MIJ Fujigen | Gig Bag
Up for sale is a 1991 Fender Japan Order Made PB62 ’62 Reissue Precision Bass in Walnut, complete with a gig bag.
Built at the highly regarded Fujigen factory, this is a special-order Fender Japan model featuring an ash body with a transparent Walnut finish, slab rosewood fingerboard, vintage-style 7.25" radius, and distinctive gold hardware.
The Order Made Walnut models represented an upgraded and much less common take on the standard PB62 platform, combining classic early-'60s Precision Bass styling with a particularly striking natural wood aesthetic.
Condition
Very Good – 8/10
This bass has been played and shows honest cosmetic wear, including light scratches, dings, and some clear-coat wear.
The bridge has been replaced, while the remainder of the bass is original.
The small strap button on the back of the headstock is missing. This is purely cosmetic and does not affect the function or playability of the bass.
Overall, it remains a very nice example with the natural aging and character you would expect from a 1991 instrument.
Please review all photos carefully for the most accurate representation of its cosmetic condition.

Order Made Fender Japan
Fender Japan's Order Made instruments offered configurations and appointments outside the typical standard-production models, and this Walnut PB62 is a particularly attractive example.
Its ash body and transparent Walnut finish allow the natural grain of the wood to remain visible, while the gold hardware gives the bass a distinctive appearance compared with a conventional ’62 Reissue Precision Bass.
Combined with its slab rosewood fingerboard and vintage-style specifications, the result is a unique variation on the classic early-'60s Precision Bass formula.
