Presenting a truly exceptional piece, the 2018 Gibson Custom Shop SG Flying Eagle Koa, complete with its original hard-shell case and certificate of authenticity. This highly-customized boutique-style SG draws inspiration from the beautiful Gibson banjo inlays used a century ago, specifically the “Flying Eagle” pattern. It also makes use of the bevy of elegant exotic woods sourced by Gibson Custom Shop, including a gorgeous figured Koa top, a five-piece figured maple/walnut neck and a solid dark Ebony fingerboard. Three powerful uncovered Custombuckers complete the look and add all the sonic versatility and punch needed to pair with the treasured solid tone-woods used.

In terms of condition, this guitar stands strong in the realm of excellence. While it exhibits some light scratches and a few minor dings, there's also a touch of finish checking, along with two subtle clear coat impressions near the bridge from a prior Bigsby installation. Notably, the previous owner wisely utilized a Vibromate, leaving no additional holes. However, two small felt pads did leave a minor mark, though it's hardly noticeable. The original bridge and tail-piece are currently in place. On the whole, I would rate its condition as a commendable 9 out of 10. All aspects of the guitar remain in their original state, devoid of any cracks, repairs, or concerns. The neck is perfectly straight without any issues, and the original frets exhibit no signs of wear. You can expect a flawless performance, free from any buzzing or dead spots, as I've recently conducted a meticulous setup. The accompanying original hard-shell case is in very good condition and provides excellent protection. I've taken detailed photos to provide a comprehensive view of the guitar's wear.
