1988 Gibson EDS-1275 Sg Double Neck Electric Guitar Heritage Cherry - is currently on backorder. You may still purchase now though and we'll ship as soon as more become available.

For sale is a 1988 Gibson EDS-1275 SG Double Neck Electric Guitar in Heritage Cherry, complete with its original hard-shell case. While this guitar has seen its fair share of play and underwent some Jimmy Page-style modifications, it remains in good condition and is in perfect working order. There are noticeable scratches, dings, and signs of wear on the back. Notably, both tail-pieces have been shifted back in the fashion of Jimmy Page. The original holes have been filled and touched up to accommodate this alteration.

Several pickups on the guitar seem to have been replaced. On the 12-string side, the bridge pickup remains the original Bill Lawrence HBL pickup, while the neck pickup has been switched to a Gibson '57 Classic. On the 6-string side, the bridge pickup is a Gibson '57 Classic, and the neck pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan '59. This combination produces an excellent emulation of the classic Gibson PAF tone. It's worth mentioning that on the 6-string side, the pickup covers were removed to enhance the Jimmy Page aesthetic.

The original Nashville-style bridges have been substituted with Japanese-made ABR-1 style bridges that function admirably. Upon receiving the guitar, I noted that the toggle switch, responsible for transitioning between the two necks, experienced intermittent connectivity issues. To rectify this, I replaced the switch, and it now operates flawlessly. Regrettably, I do not possess any of the original replaced components. For enthusiasts of Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Page, this double-neck might be the instrument of your dreams.

All in all, I would assess its condition as a robust 7.5 out of 10. There are no structural flaws or concerns with the guitar. Both necks are in excellent condition, devoid of issues. The original frets exhibit minimal wear and are in superb condition. Buzzing or dead spots are absent. I have recently conducted a setup on the guitar. The original hard-shell case displays some signs of wear but remains fully functional. Comprehensive images detailing the wear on the guitar are available for your perusal. Thank you for your interest.
