For sale is a 1976 Rickenbacker 3001 Bass Guitar with a non-original case. This bass has it's fair share of wear and some modifications, but plays and sounds great. There are scratches and dings throughout, wear on the back, and some routing on the back of the bass and under the pick-guard. The routing on the back of the bass has been covered by a plastic guard. My guess is the route was done to accommodate a battery as possibly the bass had active electronics at one point. The routing under the pick-guard was done to accommodate the P-bass pickups. The original pickups have been replaced with what appear to be Fender Vintage Reissue P bass pickups. They sound great. The pots and electronics have been replaced as well. The tuners have also been replaced with Schaller tuners. The holes from the original tuners have been replaced. We do not have any of the originals to the repaces parts. Overall, I would rate the condition a solid 7 out of 10. Everything else on the bass is original. The neck is straight with no issues. The original frets do have some wear, but the neck still plays great. There is no buzzing or dead spots. The case works great is very beat up but works great.
