For sale is a rare and powerful 1992 Wal Mk2 5-String Fretless Bass with Walnut Facings, paired with a non-original hard-shell case. Known for their exceptional craftsmanship and distinctive tone, Wal basses are revered among professional bassists—and this one is no exception.
This Mk2 features a Brazilian mahogany core, Walnut facings, and a fretless ebony fingerboard, delivering an articulate, expressive voice that stands out in any mix.
This bass has been played and shows honest signs of use, including scratches, dings throughout, and minor fingerboard wear from flatwound or roundwound strings. There is also clear coat finish checking on the back of the neck, a common cosmetic trait on many Wal instruments. Despite this, it remains in great working order and very good overall condition.
All components are original, with no cracks, repairs, or structural issues. The neck is straight, and there's no buzzing or dead spots. It has also been recently set up for optimal playability.
