Up for sale is a very rare 1991 Wal Mk2 5-String Bass (Left-Handed), complete with a non-original flight case.

Wals are already extremely hard to come by, with current wait times often stretching well beyond 4 years. A left-handed Mk2 5-string is on another level entirely—these almost never surface on the used market. This is a true collector-grade instrument that also happens to be an incredible player.

This example features beautiful American Walnut facings over a Brazilian Mahogany core, paired with an Indian Rosewood fingerboard. It delivers the unmistakable Wal tone and feel that has made these instruments legendary among professional players and studio musicians.

Condition

This bass is in very good condition (8.5/10).

It shows light scratches and dings from normal use, all of which are visible in the photos. Overall, it presents very well for its age and has clearly been well cared for.

Everything on the bass is 100% original.

There are no cracks, breaks, or structural issues. The neck is straight, the frets are in excellent condition, and the bass plays cleanly up and down the board with no buzzing or dead spots. It has also been professionally set up and is ready to go.

The electronics are fully functional and sound exactly as they should.
