For sale is a 2015 Rickenbacker 4003 5-String Conversion in Jetglo with the original case. This bass guitar started its life as a 4-string Jetglo bass.  The tuners where removed and an extra hole was drilled on the headstock to accommodate 5 tuning keys. Different tuners were added as the originals would not fit. The bridge was changed out to a 5-string bridge. This bass guitar is in very good condition and perfect working order. There are light scratches, dings, and extra holes that have been covered up with black tape on the back of the headstock from the previous tuners. Overall, I would rate the condition a solid 8.5 out of 10. Aside from the above-mentioned changes the pick-guard has also been changed to black, truss rod cover changed to black, the knobs swapped, and the bass is missing the mute (No one really uses it anyway). I do not have the original parts. Personally I really like the all-black look of this bass. There are no cracks, repairs, or issues. The neck is straight with no issues. I've owned every version Rickenbacker has made of a 5-string and this is my most preferred. I much prefer the string spacing on these to the older 5 strings and this bass still has the original 4003 looks to it as the new ones have different pickups and to me look goofy. The frets are in excellent condition with no wear. There is no buzzing or dead spots. The original case works great. We are open to trades.
