Up for sale is a 2004 Fender American Vintage ’62 (AVRI) Jazzmaster in the classic 3-Tone Sunburst finish, complete with its original hard-shell case.
This early-2000s AVRI is widely considered one of Fender’s best U.S.-made reissue eras, offering excellent build quality, vintage-correct specs, and a true nitrocellulose lacquer finish. It captures the look, feel, and tone of an original early-’60s Jazzmaster, while remaining a very playable and reliable instrument.
Condition
This guitar is in excellent condition (9/10).
It shows light surface scratches and a few small dings from normal use, all of which are visible in the photos.
The guitar is 100% original with no cracks, repairs, or structural issues.
It currently has a Mustang-style bridge installed for improved stability and ease of setup. The original Jazzmaster bridge is included in the case.
The neck is straight, the truss rod functions properly, and the original frets show only minimal wear. The guitar plays cleanly up and down the neck with no buzzing or dead spots and has been professionally set up here at Guitar Chimp.
The original Fender hard-shell case is included and is in excellent working condition.
