For Sale: 1991 Fender American Vintage ’62 AVRI Stratocaster – Vintage White w/ OHSC

Up for sale is a 1991 Fender American Vintage ’62 AVRI Stratocaster in Vintage White, complete with its original hard-shell case.

This is a very cool early AVRI Strat that has clearly been played and enjoyed over the years. These American Vintage ’62 reissues are well loved for their classic Fender feel, vintage-correct styling, and strong overall build quality, and this one has the kind of worn-in character that many players really appreciate. The finish wear, checking, and aged look give it the vibe of a real old Strat, and the guitar has also had some thoughtful player-oriented updates that make it especially appealing as a great-playing vintage-style instrument.

Condition

This guitar is in very good condition and I would rate it a solid 7.5/10. It shows lots of scratches, dings, finish checking at the neck joint, finish checking throughout, wear on the back of the guitar, small crack on plastic pick-up cover, and a very worn logo on the headstock. The Vintage White finish is also heavily worn in a way that gives the guitar a real vintage look and feel. Please review all photos carefully for the most accurate representation of condition.

This guitar has been played and has had a few modifications. The pickups have been replaced with a set of Van Zandt Stratocaster pickups, shielding paint has been added to the cavities, the guitar has been refretted with standard medium jumbo frets, and the tremolo arm is a replacement. The back tremolo cover is missing. Everything else appears to be original.

There are no cracks, breaks, or structural issues. The neck is straight, the refret was done well, and the guitar plays cleanly up and down the neck with no buzzing or dead spots. It has also been recently professionally set up and is ready to go. It plays amazing.

The original hard-shell case is included. It does show some wear, but it works great.
