For sale is a rare 1983 Fender Elite Stratocaster Walnut with a non-original Fender case. This guitar is in very good condition, in perfect working order, and plays great. There are some scratches, dings, and some clear coat chipping around the back electronics cover. Overall, I would rate the condition, a solid 8.5 out of 10. Everything on the guitar is original. There are no cracks, repairs, or issues. The neck is straight with no issues and plays great. The original frets are in very good condition with only minor wear. The guitar has been set up by our luthier. There is no buzzing or dead spots. The case is not the original brown Voyagair case that these came with but the black version the came with the non-walnut elite's. It does have some wear but is a great fit and works great.
This guitar features three special-design Alnico 5 single-coil pickups with solid covers and an internal dummy coil for hum cancellation, as well as three push-push buttons for pickup selection. Controls include a master volume, a TBX treble/bass expander and an active MDX midrange booster with 12 dB of gain. The sound of the Elite Stratocaster can be described as more humbucker-like compared to a traditional single coil-equipped guitar, especially with the TBX and MDX circuits at their maximum.
