For sale is a 1978 Gibson Les Paul 25/50 Anniversary Model in a beautiful Wine Red with the original Gibson Chainsaw case. Here's a rare bird you don't see every day. The burst versions are pretty common, but you never see Wine Red as it just wasn't a popular color for this model when it came out and is the rarest color for this model. This guitar is in very good condition and in perfect working order. There are some scratches, dings, some wear on the back, some wear to the clear coat at the butt of the neck, and (2) small screw holes on the top by the bridge from what looks like a previous midi pickup was installed. The holes are very small and you have to be looking for them to notice. Overall, I would rate the condition a solid 8.5 out of 10. Everything on the guitar is original. There are no cracks, repairs, or issues. The neck is straight with no issues. The original frets are in excellent condition with no wear. The original case works great.
